Caves in Arkansas

Blanchard Springs Caverns is a magnificent limestone cave system starting more than 200 feet underground. Blanchard Springs Caverns is administered by the U.S. Forest Service, they provide 3 different cave tours, with guides, in developed and undeveloped sections of the Caverns. Blanchard Springs Caverns is located 15 miles northwest of Mountain View, Arkansas

Bull Shoals Caverns is a limestone cave formed 350 million years ago, in the Ozark Mountains, located near Mountain Village 1890. Bull Shoals Caverns includes forests of gigantic stalactites and stalagmites of every color of the rainbow. The Ozark Mountains are one of the oldest mountain ranges on earth.

Cosmic Cavern has 2 bottomless cave lakes inside: South Lake has blind trout living in it and Silent Splendor, has 9 ft. soda straw formations. The bottom or end of these lakes have yet to be found. There is a special tour, the Wild Cave Tour, which offers an exclusive look into parts of the cavern rarely seen. There is also an authentic sluice, where you can pan for gems still in the rough. Cosmic Cavern is located in the Ozark Mountains on Hwy 21 outside of Berryville, Arkansas.

Hurricane River Cave offers tours along an ancient underground riverbed. Hurricane River Cave features stalactites, flow stone, soda straws, cave popcorn, columns, milkmoon, stalactoflats, along with rare and unique shields. A number of unusual skeletons have been discovered in the cave: saber-toothed cat and bears. The cave entrance is at the base of a towering bluff, with a waterfall (specially created for the visitor). Hurricane River Cave is located south of Branson in the Arkansas Ozarks.

Mystic Caverns and Crystal Dome Cave, are sometimes called "the twin caves" because they are within 400 feet of each other. Mystic Caverns and Crystal Dome Caves contain more formations per foot than any other caves in Arkansas. Crystal Dome Cavern has a spectacular eight-story dome. Mystic Caverns, has operated commercially since the late 1920s. Several guided cave tours are offered numerous times throughout the day. Mystic Caverns and Crystal Dome Cave are located between the cities of Jasper and Harrison, Arkansas.

Old Spanish Treasure Cave is one of Arkansas's most historical cavern. Old Spanish Treasure Cave has legends of buried gold. It is believed that over 350 years ago, Spanish Conquistador Soldiers buried treasure, some believe the treasure is still there. Old Spanish Cave is located between Gravette and Sulphur Springs, Arkansas

Onyx Cave is composed of natural onyx. There are chambers with names like the Witches Fireplace and Friendly Dragon. They are great caverns if you enjoy cave spelunking. Onyx Cave is located about six miles east of Eureka Springs, and is the oldest show cave in Arkansas.

War Eagle Cavern and it's underground stream was used by the Indians hundreds of years before the first settlers came to the area. Every effort has been made to leave the cavern in its natural state. War Eagle Cave on Beaver Lake is located near Rogers, Arkansas
